Biography
Born on 1959 in Adana,
Ferhat Dikel has graduated from Management
School. The artist who
started his art studies very young with his father, painter Rıfat Dikel,
continued his interest in visual arts ever since without interruption and went
on working on paintings without any restriction on material and subject. After
spending 10 years abroad, in 1992 he started emphasizing water color paintings.
One may collect his entire water color work under the title of “living nature”,
and as this heading may hint, they are about our natural environment, animals
and human beings. He had many personal exhibitions and participated in several
joint exhibitions. His work is part of many private collections in Germany, Bulgaria,
Poland, Saudi
Arabia, Jordan,
Azerbaijan and USA.
Married with two children, he is employed at Çukurova
University, Adana. For the last three years he has been
carrying on his painting work in his own studio (Dikel Painting Studio).
Dikel Painting Studio
Ferhat Dikel, who had been carrying on his work
in Art Studio with his brother Murat Dikel since 1992, founded on May, 2004,
Dikel Painting Studio, where, with his assistant Nurhan Taşkıran, he aims to
help young and old people who are keen to visual arts and willing to share and
develop their knowledge. The artist is determined to continue on for his lifetime
the process of research, learning, practice and sharing that he has been
following for more than forty years.
